Oyster lover leaves onlookers sick after devouring 70 in one sitting for breakfast
Georgiana, known as the “oyster girl,” often shares her food adventures with her 400,000 followers on social media.
In her latest video, she joked about her ambitious goal: “Can I eat 70 oysters for breakfast?”
This was not her first time attempting a large oyster meal.
She had previously eaten 50 and 60 oysters on different occasions.
The “oyster girl” takes advantage of the deal
The restaurant offers a weekend special where oysters are priced at just 1 GBP (around $1.25) each.
This promotion runs during brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as during happy hour from Monday to Friday.
Georgiana took advantage of this deal to embark on her oyster-eating marathon.
Once she started, Georgiana devoured the first oyster with enthusiasm.
She continued to eat the remaining 69 oysters in what seemed like a swift manner.
She added Tabasco sauce and lemon juice to each oyster for extra flavor, ensuring each bite was zesty.
At the end of her oyster feast, Georgiana declared it the “best breakfast of my entire life.”
However, many viewers were shocked by her extraordinary consumption.

I love oysters but eating that many at once would have me so scared of increasing my chances of getting that ONE bad oyster that’d have me begging for my life hugging a toilet bowl, someone said.

Eating too many oysters can be risky.
While oysters are known for their nutritional benefits, including high levels of zinc and Vitamin B12, consuming too many can pose health risks.
Experts warn that eating large quantities of raw shellfish can increase the chances of ingesting harmful bacteria, such as Vibrio.
Nonetheless, the likelihood of contracting such pathogens from oysters is relatively low.
Past outbreaks raised concerns about oysters.
In December, a separate incident involving raw oysters led to over 80 people getting sick due to a possible norovirus outbreak.
This raised alarms about the safety of consuming raw shellfish.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued a warning last June about shellfish from specific areas in Oregon and Washington State.
They advised consumers to avoid these shellfish due to potential toxins.
