In the interview, Kaya Walker described Barron Trump as “an oddity on campus.”

She noted that he “goes to class, he goes home,” implying that he does not engage much with campus life.

These remarks drew immediate criticism from her peers and Republican groups.

They felt her comments were inappropriate and did not align with the values of the College Republicans.

The College Republicans of America (CRA) responded strongly to Walker’s statements.

While they believed someone unfairly framed her comments, they still found them unacceptable.

This response prompted calls for her resignation, leading Walker to step down from her position.

Reactions from the Republican Community

After the controversy erupted, Will Donahue, president of the CRA, publicly invited Barron Trump to join their organization.

He released a statement on Twitter, expressing that Barron represents the future of the conservative movement.

He said in a statement on Twitter: “Barron Trump represents the future of the conservative movement, and we would be honored to have him join the College Republicans of America.”

Mr Donahue continued: “Strong leadership is built on resilience, courage, and the humility to rise above petty hostility – qualifies that Barron has already demonstrated.

“We invite Barron to join us in shaping the future of our party.”

This invitation was notable as it broke the CRA’s tradition of supporting Donald Trump since his first presidential run.

The CRA has been active in mobilizing student voters and supporting Trump’s initiatives.

“Our support for President Trump is, and has been, a pillar of our organization,” the CRA statement added.

Barron Trump’s experience at NYU

Barron Trump, who enrolled in the Stern School of Business at NYU, has attracted a lot of attention since starting college.

Despite being the son of a former president, he reportedly prefers to maintain a low profile.

While some students describe him as tall and attractive, they also note that he does not participate much in campus activities.

The anonymous student added: “He’s tall and handsome. A lot of people seem to think he’s pretty attractive — yes, even liberal people like him.”

Witnesses have said that Barron often travels through campus in a motorcade accompanied by Secret Service agents.

This heavy security presence makes it challenging for him to blend in with other students.

Some peers have commented that he seems to enjoy college life but is limited in what he can do due to his status.
