Nick had booked a window seat for his early morning flight. He planned to sit quietly with his headphones in. However, his peace was disturbed when a man tapped his shoulder, asking him to switch seats.
Nick initially considered the request, assuming the man had an aisle seat. However, the man wanted to move from a different section of the plane to sit with his children. When Nick asked where his kids were, the man became hostile, refusing to answer directly.
he said: “I get on board, take my window seat, pop in my AirPod, close my eyes, and I wake up to a tap on the shoulder. And I’m confused because I don’t know anybody on this flight? And I look at the person, and it’s a grown man, and he’s like, ‘hey, do you mind switching seats with me?’.
“My first thought is that he wants the window seat. I usually take the aisle seat because I’m pretty tall, but this was the only seat available. And so I’m actually curious; if he has the aisle seat, I’ll switch.” Nick added.
Nick politely declined the request, stating he preferred to stay in his booked seat. Frustrated, the man walked away. Shortly after, two adult passengers sat next to Nick, revealing themselves as the man’s children.
The father refuses to accept no for an answer
The father returned and insisted again that Nick switch seats. He tried to make it obvious that the passengers beside Nick were his kids. When Nick declined again, the father accused him of being rude.
Nick firmly repeated that he would not switch seats. The man then falsely claimed to a flight attendant that Nick was in the wrong seat. After verifying the ticket, the flight attendant told the father to return to his seat.

As the plane prepared for takeoff, the father returned once more. He stood by Nick’s seat, yelling at him to move. Other passengers told him to sit down, but instead, he shoved a fellow traveler. At this point, the flight crew intervened.
A flight attendant informed the man he would be escorted off the plane for getting physical with another passenger. Security removed him, and his children followed him off the flight.
