Fans were shocked when Kelly Ripa transformed into Ariana Grande’s Glinda from “Wicked.” The reveal took place during an Oscar-themed episode of “Live With Kelly and Mark.” Ripa, 54, donned an outfit identical to Grande’s Glinda look.
She wore a pink dress, gray hat, and matching pink purse. Celebrity makeup artist Kristofer Buckle shared a photo of the transformation on Instagram.
“Follow me beyond Oz into the land of make believe,” she captioned her Instagram post. “Let’s hear it for the actual wizards.
Ripa even mimicked Grande’s signature pose with pursed lips.

Mark consuelos mistook ripa for Ariana Grande
Ripa’s husband and co-host, Mark Consuelos, also took part in the “Wicked” tribute. He dressed as Jonathan Bailey’s Fiyero for the segment. However, he admitted he was shocked when he first saw Ripa in costume.
“I grabbed the phone and truly thought that was Grande,” Consuelos told People. “I wasn’t prepared for this!” He later admitted the transformation was “freaky.”
“It was very funny because I could see he was secretly annoyed and doing that fake nice thing at first. He was like, ‘Oh my gosh, hiiiii!.’ And then once I spoke, his face totally changed and he was like, ‘Wait a minute…’ ” Ripa told the outlet.
Ripa didn’t just surprise her husband. She also FaceTimed her daughter Lola, 23, while in costume.
“I fooled both her and her best friend,” Ripa said. “It was great.”
