Following her success at the Ontario Relays, Hernandez continued to dominate in her sport.

Hernandez hopes to achieve greater heights, aiming for a 41-foot jump this season, preferably at the state level.

“Hopefully, I hit a 41 [footer] this year if it’s possible. Preferably at state so that I can possibly win,” Hernandez said.

“I just keep telling myself you are No.1 — it’s yours to lose.”

While Hernandez’s achievements are commendable, they have also ignited controversy.

Many critics have voiced their concerns over her participation in the girls’ category.

Some believe that a transgender girl may have advantages over cisgender girls in athletic competitions.

Online comments have flooded social media platforms, with many expressing outrage at her wins.

Some call her success “unreal” and unfair, arguing it undermines competition among female athletes.

One user said: He has the advantage in strength, muscle mass, and a non-rotational femur connected to his pelvic bone.

The second user wrote: That happens when he can’t hack it with real men! He will try to be a woman coz then he will beat every woman!

Way to go mate you should be very proud of yourself!! Sad new world….

The third user said: At age 40, he will still need a prostate exam.

The fourth user added: He should have all medals and/or trophies taken and victories voided. HE is a HE NOT A SHE.

Another user commented: He’s not a her. That’s why he has an advantage. Stop playing their stupid pronoun game.

You surrender the whole debate when you concede the words. Words matter people.

Someone said: This is so unfair to girls/women and he must be stopped. No matter how hard he tries he was born a male and will always be a male

Legislators are debating policies on transgender athlete participation.

The debate over transgender athletes has led to legislative efforts in various states.

Recently, a bill aimed at banning transgender women and girls from participating in school sports did not advance in the Senate.

This bill sought to establish participation rules based entirely on a person’s biological sex at birth.

Despite the bill’s failure, debates on transgender athletes’ participation remain a hot topic among lawmakers and the public.
