The woman, identified as Stephanie Lovins, visited Cazuelas Mexican Restaurant & Cantina in Columbus, Ohio.

She spent about $87.84 on her meal. However, instead of leaving a tip, she wrote a negative comment on the bill.

Her message stated, “Zero, you suck. I hope Trump deports you!!!” This remark was aimed at her waiter, who is a U.S. citizen.

The situation escalated when an employee from the restaurant shared a photo of the receipt on Facebook.

This post quickly went viral, drawing attention to Lovins’ actions. Many people expressed their outrage over the comment, calling it racist and unacceptable.

After the receipt was shared online, Lovins faced significant backlash. People began to investigate her identity.

They discovered that she worked as a realtor at Century 21, a well-known real estate company.

As news spread, Lovins received numerous messages and comments on social media about her behavior.

In response to the growing criticism, Lovins attempted to defend herself.

She claimed that her credit card had been lost or stolen and that someone else had written the message.

However, this explanation did not seem to convince many people.

The restaurant’s marketing manager reviewed the CCTV footage and confirmed that Lovins had indeed written the note.

The woman fired from job after the incident

Following the incident, Century 21 conducted its own investigation.

A spokesperson for the company released a statement about the situation.

They emphasized that hate has no place within their brand and that they take such matters very seriously.

After reviewing the evidence, they confirmed that they no longer employed Lovins.

“We are aware of the situation with the agent in question. Hate has no place within the Century 21 brand, and we are taking this very seriously,” the statement reads.

“After investigating the situation and connecting with the respective broker, as all companies affiliated with the Century 21 brand are independently owned and operated, we can confirm that this agent is no longer affiliated with the brand.”

The restaurant responded to the incident

Cazuelas Mexican Restaurant also responded to the incident.

“We believe in the power of respect, tolerance and acceptance.

“Recently, one of our team members faced an unacceptable situation, and we stand firmly against any form of hate or discrimination.”

“It was a normal Sunday; things got a little busy, so the wait could have been a little longer than usual, but we aren’t really sure what made her write that”.

He also confirmed that the waiter’s name was Ricardo and he is a U.S. citizen working two jobs.

Supporters have since started a GoFundMe for him in an effort to “give him the tip he deserves.”

Community support for the waiter

In light of the incident, supporters started a GoFundMe campaign to help Ricardo.

The goal was to raise money for him as a way to show appreciation for his hard work.

The campaign quickly gained traction, raising over $8,800.
