Olympic fans have been left baffled by the photo-finish result of the 100-meter final. Noah Lyles’s victory has sparked debate among viewers.

On social media, Olympic fans were stunned by Noah Lyles’s dramatic victory in the 100 meters.

While, Noah Lyles narrowly defeated Jamaican sprinter Kishane Thompson.  As a result, the tight margin of victory has sparked confusion and debate among spectators.

The narrowest of margins in the Noah Lyles epic 100m final.

In a stunning conclusion to the 100-meter final at the Paris Olympics, Noah Lyles edged out Kishane Thompson by just five thousandths of a second.

In a video shared on X, the moment showed margins of Noah Lyles epic 100m final, left viewer stunned.

The video was shared by user @Rainmaker1973 showed Noah Lyles secured a dramatic victory in the 100 meters final, narrowly defeating Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson.

The video has the caption: “Photo finish men’s 100m

While, Noah Lyles set a personal best of 9.784 seconds edging out Kishane Thompson by a mere 0.005 seconds.

Addionally, the blink of an eye lasts 0.1 seconds.

While, this photo finish, one of the closest in Olympic history, saw the top eight runners separated by only 0.12 seconds.

The, Lyles, who had placed second in his semi-final earlier that day, clocked a time of 9.79 seconds. This performance earned him his first Olympic gold medal.

The results have sparked a wave of controversy and confusion on social media.

Many viewers believe Thompson was unjustly denied victory. Addionally, Olympic fans have been left bewildered by the photo-finish result of the 100-meter final. While, Noah Lyles narrowly defeated Jamaican sprinter Kishane Thompson in a dramatic finish.

One peron said: He won with his toes.

A second wrote: Imagine missing out on gold by this much!

While a third commented: He was robbed

Someone else said: You’re telling me they are covering 10 meters (32 ft) in less than a second.

Another added: The guy with the biggest nose, won.

In track and field, the official rule is that the winner is determined by which runner’s chest crosses the finish line first.

Despite Thompson’s foot appearing to cross the line before Lyles, the result is based on the chest position, making Lyles the official winner.

Additionally, Fred Kerley of the United States claimed the bronze medal with a time of 9.81 seconds.

Lyles, the first American to win gold in the 100m since Justin Gatlin in 2004. Addionally, he celebrated triumphantly at Stade de France, amidst cheers from the crowd.

Noah Lyles shared his thoughts after his win.

Reflecting on his victory, Lyles stated, “It’s the one I wanted, it’s the hard battle, it’s the amazing opponents.”

Additionally, he added, “Everybody came prepared for the fight, and I wanted to prove that I’m the man among all of them, I’m the wolf among wolves.”
