Alma Lagerstedt, a 23-year-old tourist, was in her room when the ceiling collapsed on her.
This shocking incident happened in the middle of the night, waking her up with a loud crash.

Alma was sound asleep in her bed at around 3 a.m. when she suddenly heard a loud noise.
The sound of the ceiling falling jolted her awake. When she opened her eyes, she found that the entire ceiling had caved in.
Debris from the roof covered her bed and filled the room.
Feeling alarmed, Alma quickly grabbed her phone to record the scene.
In a viral TikTok video, she expressed her disbelief at what had just happened.
“You know when you’re sleeping in your bed, and the f–king roof falls down on top of you?” she asked in a viral TikTok video.
“The whole f–king roof. Oh my God.”
Alma assessed the extensive ceiling damage.
After the initial shock, Alma took a moment to survey the damage. She stood in her room, which was now filled with rubble.
The ceiling that once protected her was now a gaping hole above her head.
In her video, she showed the mess around her, including debris scattered on her bed.
After realizing the extent of the damage, Alma knew she had to leave the room.
She quickly packed her belongings and went to stay with a friend nearby.
The experience had shaken her, and she no longer felt safe in that hotel.
“[After it happened] I took off to my friend’s house and then later on moved my stuff to another room,” she told Jam Press.
“I didn’t really wanna stay there anymore, so in the end I got all the money back, and I moved to another place.”
Alma qualifies as the unluckiest traveler.
This incident has led some to label Alma as one of the “world’s unluckiest travelers.”
