The Duchess of Sussex, 43, posted a video of herself preparing green waffles for her family. She declared that the Sussexes “love a theme!” while pouring batter into a black cast-iron waffle maker.

However, royal fans quickly noticed something unusual.

They claimed that the waffles she served looked different from the ones that should have come from the waffle maker she used.

Social media users spot a discrepancy

On social media, Sharp-eyed followers pointed out a mismatch between Meghan’s waffle iron and the final product.

The machine, believed to be a $50 Cuisinart Waring Pro WMK200 Belgian Waffle Maker, creates deep-ridged waffles divided into four sections.

Yet, the waffles on Meghan’s plate appeared flat and lacked the characteristic pattern. Fans claimed they resembled store-bought frozen waffles rather than homemade ones.

One person said: She did not make that mess in that waffle maker. The waffle maker has four sections, but the waffles she served don’t.

A second wrote: It just looks like something you wouldn’t want to eat.

While a third commented: Green waffles of any shape are an abomination.

Another added: Her kid’s waffles look like colored Eggos – not homemade at all.

Someone else said: Her one fan is suspicious of her being so untalented and useless

However, supoporters defend Meghan’s Waffle shoices

Not everyone agreed with the accusations.

While, some fans suggested she may have used a different waffle maker for the children’s breakfast.

However, another user speculated that the waffle iron used for the occasion might have been a gift from the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Someone else said: I bet this is the same waffle maker QEII gave Archie for Christmas after learning how much he loved waffles. Glad to see it’s getting good use.

Looks like she made big ones for the adults and small ones for the kids. Someone else said.

Another user wrote: She’s not a princess. I look absolutely delicious

Couldnt care less. But honesty is not high on their to do list

For her children, she made waffles topped with kiwi, blueberries, and whipped cream arranged to form a face.

For herself and Prince Harry, she served a plain green waffle with whipped cream and strawberries.

She captioned the post, “For the kids!” and added, “For us! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!”
