Biden reflects on 2024 election and Trump’s strategy

During the interview, Biden shared his thoughts on Trump’s strategy in the 2024 election.

He pointed out that Trump successfully flipped key “blue wall” states, including Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, as well as Georgia, Nevada, and Arizona—states that Biden had won in 2020.

This shift led to Trump’s victory and a dramatic loss for Harris, who also lost the popular vote.

Biden added that had he stayed in the race, he would have defeated Trump again.

Biden on Kamala Harris’s 2024 Campaign

When co-host Sunny Hostin of “The View” mentioned that Kamala Harris had said in an October interview she wouldn’t have changed anything about how Biden handled his term, Biden clarified his stance.

He made it clear that he hadn’t advised her to say that and  suggested that Harris was referring to the successes of their administration, not denying the challenges the Democrats faced.

He also mentioned that Harris needed to “be her own person,” while adding that they often “argued like hell.”

“I did not advise her to say that,” said Biden.

“I think she was talking about — she wouldn’t have changed the successes we had … as opposed to that we wouldn’t change anything at all.”

“She has to be her own person — and she was,” he offered, before adding: “We’d argue like hell by the way.”
