A recent video has left many viewers astonished as it appears to show what some believe are “ghost soldiers” running across a road at the historic Gettysburg battlefield.
Greg Yuelling, a store manager from New Jersey, captured this eerie footage during a family visit.
The site is famous for its role in the American Civil War.
While exploring the battlefield, Yuelling and his family were eager to learn more about its history.
They were particularly interested in the site famous for the Gettysburg Address.
The family spotted mysterious ghost soldiers
However, their evening took a strange turn when they began hearing unusual noises.
Yuelling described the atmosphere as unusual, mentioning a strange patch of fog that lingered in the air.
He noted it was unlike any fog he had seen before.
As they drove through the area, Yuelling and his family spotted shapes moving in the distance.
“We were driving along one night and we started hearing noises,
I heard things to the left and my uncle heard things to the right, and there was a fog, but the fog was weird,
it was only in one patch not dispersed,” the father began.
“Then we saw these shapes moving in the darkness, they were the size of humans, and one of them ran right through the cannon,” he said.
He described seeing one apparition pass through a cannon, which confused them even more.
His uncle, frightened by the experience, quickly rolled up the car windows.
Yuelling continued: “It was weird, it was scary, it was crazy… my uncle got so scared he rolled up the window.
“We went back and watched the videos over and over again, and then we blew them up on the big screen to get a closer look.
“That made us even more freaked out.
“It was really exciting, but I also got this strange, ominous feeling, like something was telling me to go back there.
I couldn’t go to sleep but I was creeped out, so I didn’t go.”
Yuelling finally believed he had encountered ghosts
After filming the event, the family reviewed the footage multiple times, trying to make sense of what they had seen.
The more they analyzed it, the more unsettling it became.
The Battle of Gettysburg, fought in July 1863, stands as one of the most brutal in American history.
It resulted in a staggering number of casualties, numbering in the tens of thousands.
Many injured soldiers suffered on the battlefield, and the site has since gained a reputation as one of the most haunted places in the US.
Yuelling had always been skeptical about ghost stories, often questioning the credibility of ghost videos.
This experience completely shifted his perspective.
He admitted, “I believe everything now,” recognizing the profound effect the encounter had on him and his family.
