A 34-year-old vegan claims that drinking urine daily helps him maintain his youthful appearance and energy for life.
In England, a 34-year-old man named Harry Matadeen has made a surprising claim.
He says that drinking his own urine every day is the key to feeling young and happy.
Since 2016, Matadeen has practiced what he calls “urine therapy.”
Why does the vegan drink his own urine every day?
He believes this unusual habit has helped him overcome depression and social anxiety.
“It was beyond my wildest imaginations how powerful it was when I drank it,” he told Jam Press.
Matadeen used to struggle with severe depression and anxiety. He felt isolated and unhappy.
In a moment of desperation, he decided to try urine therapy, believing it might help him feel better.
He started drinking about 200 milliliters of his own urine every day.
He even combines fresh urine with aged urine, which he claims enhances the benefits.
According to Matadeen, the moment he started this practice, he felt a change.
He described it as a feeling of peace and determination.
He said, “From the moment I drank the urine, it woke up my brain and removed my depression.”
This new routine made him feel like he could achieve happiness without relying on expensive treatments or medications.
“I thought, ‘Wow, I can make it for free and always keep myself in this happy state.’ ”
The vegan believes that urine is a “super clean” substance.
He has even written books on the topic, sharing his experiences and insights about urine therapy.
“Fresh urine is never as bad as you imagine – it is neutral-smelling and not a bad taste unless you are really toxic,” Matadeen insisted.
“But the aged urine is always smelly and the taste is a refined and acquired one. I’ll just say it takes some getting used to!
“I actually like the smell and taste of my aged urine now, due to neuro-association of what benefits and joy it gives me after I take it into my system,” he added.
He wants to spread the word about what he feels is a powerful health practice.
34-year-old vegan claims drinking urine daily is the secret to preserving his youth indefinitely
Not only does he drink it, but he also applies it to his skin.
He claims that using aged urine as a moisturizer has made his skin look younger and healthier.
“My skin is young, soft, and glowing,” he says.
Matadeen does not use any other skincare products, finding that urine works best for him.
“Urine has made me look a lot younger. Drinking the aged urine has revitalized my face to its youthful years and when I rub it on my face, the difference is instant and obvious,” he claimed.
The bearded man from Britain calls his method “the secret to eternal youth” and says people often think he is in his 20s.
“Sometimes when I’m in the urinals and no one is watching I will cup my hand and splash the fresh urine I am excreting on my face and rub it in,” he shockingly added.
“Urine therapy has changed my life.”
His family does not support his unusual habit
Matadeen acknowledges that his family does not support his choice.
He mentioned that his sister has stopped talking to him because of his unusual habit.
However, he has found support among friends who either practice urine therapy or accept his lifestyle.
He feels that surrounding himself with like-minded people is important for his happiness.
Many doctors warn against this practice.
Despite his enthusiasm, Matadeen’s claims about urine therapy have raised eyebrows.
Doctors point out that urine is a waste product, made up mostly of water, ammonia, and other substances that the body needs to expel.
Medical experts explain that there is no scientific evidence supporting the health benefits of drinking or applying urine to the skin.
Dr. Jeff Foster, a UK physician, stated, “There are no known reported health benefits from either drinking or rubbing your own urine onto your body.”
He emphasizes that urine is waste for a reason and cautions against using it as a treatment.
“Bottom line is if you would not eat or rub in your own feces, then don’t think applying the same principle with urine is any healthier,” he said.
“Waste products are waste for a reason.”
