A DoorDash delivery worker was terminated for using offensive language towards a woman who tipped him $5 on a $20 order.

Lacey Purcival captured the incident and posted a video on TikTok. In the video, Corey, a pizza deliveryman, delivered dinner to her residence. However, he used profanity towards her due to the $5 tip she gave him for an order she claimed was only $20.

As the doorbell rang, Purcival opened the door and greeted the deliveryman.

Corey, the deliveryman, nearly dropped the pizza as he retrieved the pizza from its sleeve. After the minor mishap, he handed over the pizza to Purcival, who expressed her gratitude and thanked him enthusiastically.

The delivery man then said: 'You're welcome, um I just want to say it's a nice house for a $5 tip.'

The woman, stunned by the man's response, exclaimed, 'You're welcome?' and 'F*** you!

“So how much should I be tipping for a $20 pie??” Purcival wrote on the TikTok video.

Some user-supported their agreement with the $5 tip on a $20 order, stating that it was more than enough. Additionally, they advised her to contact Doordash, the delivery service she used, and file a complaint with them.

She received an explanation that she pays a monthly fee for the delivery service, as well as any additional service fees.

She said that the driver has subsequently been terminated. A spokesperson from DoorDash confirmed this information in a statement provided to Insider.

The spokesperson explains that: "Respectfully asking for a tip is acceptable but abusing or harassing someone is never acceptable. Our rules exist to help ensure everyone who uses our platform - Dashers, customers, merchants - have a safe and enjoyable experience."

Purcival added that her husband is extremely upset about the deliveryman's offensive remarks towards her, emphasizing that the driver could have simply refused the order instead.
