Investors quickly accused Welch and her team of conducting a “rug pull.”

A rug pull occurs when cryptocurrency creators sell off their holdings, causing the value of the coin to collapse. This leaves investors with worthless assets.

One Twitter user claimed to have lost $33,000 after purchasing $HAWK, only for it to be worth a fraction of its original value minutes later.

Other investors expressed frustration, claiming they were misled by Welch’s promotional hype.

Despite Welch’s defense, some online users accused her of lying and pointed to evidence of insider trading.

As more details emerged, investors continued to share their frustration on social media.

While, many questioned Welch’s transparency in the project and whether she had manipulated the market for her own gain.
