The exact reason why Eden started living under the tree in Southern California remains uncertain to Suzette Hall, the founder of Logan's Legacy dog rescue. However, upon rescuing her, Hall could tell that Eden had been there for a considerable period.
"For weeks and weeks, she was under that tree," Hall recounted to The Dodo. "She refused to leave."
Although people would visit Eden and leave food for her under the tree, nobody came forward to rescue her. Without hesitation, Hall swiftly took action to rescue this sweet dog in need of a home as soon as she learned about her.
Now, as Eden awaits her forever home in an animal hospital, she can't resist extending her paw through the cage bars to hold hands with everyone passing by.
Eden's spirits lifted as soon as she laid eyes on Hall.
Hall brought Eden to the vet, where her newfound friends gave her a much-needed bath. The veterinary team soon discovered that Eden had a painful skin condition and was severely underweight, prompting immediate treatment. In no time, her personality began to blossom.
"She is the sweetest dog you could ever meet," Hall exclaimed. "She's simply a lover."
Eden was placed in her own kennel by the veterinary team, providing her with a space to rest and recover. Initially, she would spend most of her time curled up on her bed. However, one day, a passerby at the hospital noticed a single grey and white paw protruding through the kennel bars.
Eden would always extend her paws through the bars and hold the hands of anyone passing by her cage.
She consistently sought physical contact with visitors and found ways to connect with them.
Despite having received numerous handshakes throughout her stay at the vet, this affectionate pup continues to eagerly await the arrival of that one special connection.
Eden truly deserves to find her forever home, and Suzette and her team are diligently working towards finding the perfect family for this lovable dog.
