A Ukrainian mother shocked fellow passengers when she opened an emergency exit and walked onto a boeing 737 wing because she felt “too hot”.
The incident occurred in 2020 at Boryspil Airport in Kyiv, following a flight from Antalya, Turkey.

The mother-of-two was returning from a family holiday when the unusual event unfolded.
According to witnesses, after the plane landed, she walked from the tail section to an emergency exit.
She then opened the door, stepped onto the wing, and stood there to “get some air.”
One passenger described the moment: “The aircraft landed, and almost all passengers had exited. She opened the emergency door and went out. Her children, who were already outside, said in surprise, ‘This is our mum.'”
Videos from the incident show the woman briefly standing on the wing before climbing back inside the cabin.
Authorities’ immediate response after the incident
The pilot immediately reported the incident, prompting responses from police, border guards, and an ambulance. Tests confirmed that the woman was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
When questioned, the woman explained her actions simply: she felt too hot. No further explanation was provided.
The airline, Ukraine International Airlines, confirmed the event and banned the woman from flying with them in the future.
A spokesperson stated: “The passenger was included in the airline’s blacklist for gross violation of aviation safety rules.”

The woman had been traveling with her husband and two children on a family trip before the start of the school term.
While no one was injured during the incident, her actions left fellow passengers stunned and prompted heightened scrutiny of onboard safety measures.
