In the shock incident, the Pacific Palisades home, where Matthew Perry tragically passed away in 2023, is now under threat from a large wildfire.

This property, which features four bedrooms and five bathrooms, was recently sold for $8.55 million in October 2024.

The current owner, real estate developer Anita Verma-Lallian, had planned to use the home as a vacation retreat. However, the wildfire has put the residence at immediate risk.

The fire has burned over 15,000 acres of land and destroyed nearly 1,000 structures. As a result, thousands of residents in Los Angeles are under evacuation orders.

Though the fate of Perry’s former home remains uncertain, the property lies within the fire’s perimeter.

Matthew Perry purchased the 3,500-square-foot mansion in 2020 for $6 million. Before his death,

Perry had renovated the property, updating its interior with darker wood flooring and brighter boho-style furniture.

He often posted pictures of his home, which featured Batman artwork and a relaxing pool area.

Perry’s death, ruled accidental, occurred in the hot tub of his home on October 28, 2023.

It was determined that his death was caused by a combination of Ketamine, Buprenorphine, drowning, and coronary artery disease.

The Pacific Palisades neighborhood, once home to many celebrities, has suffered massive destruction.

The fire has destroyed several high-profile homes, including the $7 million mansion of actors Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, which they purchased in 2019.

Additionally, Actress Anna Faris’ eco-friendly $5 million home also succumbed to the flames, leaving only a pile of rubble behind.

Former talk show host Ricki Lake mourned the loss of her dream home, which she and her husband Ross Sussman had purchased in 2014.

Verma-Lallian shared a BBC News video showing homes in Pacific Palisades engulfed in flames.

While the house’s condition is still unknown, the real estate developer remains in Scottsdale, Arizona. The property was bought in an off-market deal just months ago.
