When passengers realize their suitcases  has been left behind at the airport just before takeoff, they often feel uneasy and worried about whether they will be able to retrieve their belongings.

A similar incident happened to Alberto when he realized his suitcase was left on the runway as the plane took off. Instead of quickly trying to retrieve his luggage, Alberto shared his ironic situation on social media.

Alberto, a traveler at Barajas Airport in Madrid, Spain, captured a startling scene as he saw his suitcases abandoned on the runway just before takeoff.

Passenger misses his suitcase on the tarmac before takeoff

Accodring to Jam Press, a passenger, named Alberto found himself in an unexpected incident when he spotted his suitcases left on tarmac before takeoff.

Earlier this month, Alberto and his family were preparing for their flight when they noticed something unsettling.

While waiting for the plane to take off, Alberto spotted two suitcases sitting unattended on the tarmac. At first, he assumed the bags belonged to another passenger and began snapping photos of the misplaced luggage.

The situation took a distressing turn when Alberto realized the suitcases were actually his and his aunt’s. “I tell my aunt, ‘Look, they dropped two suitcases,’ and she says, ‘They look like mine and grandma’s,'” Alberto recounted.

His concern grew as he remembered one of the bags contained a nearly 5-pound cheese. He worried about the cheese being left out in the 86-degree weather, “baking” on the tarmac.

The post quickly went viral and sparked discussion on social media.

Someone also advised Alberto to find his suitcase instead of posting on social media.

After the incident, Alberto found his suicase.

After leaving the suicase on tarmac before takeoff, Alberto and his family were eventually reunited with their stranded suitcases upon arriving at their destination in La Manga. The airline promptly delivered the luggage to their address.
