The Brights Zoo in Tennessee organizes naming poll for rare spotless giraffe

A baby giraffe was born on July 31 and has captured attention for being born without spots.  The unnamed baby is believed to be one of the few known living spotless giraffes

A baby giraffe was born on July 31 and has captured attention for being born without spots.

In a video capture, the new calf is seen playing and receiving care from her mother, who remains attentive as the baby makes her first public appearance.

The zoo said in a statement: 'Giraffe experts believe she is the only solid-colored reticulated giraffe living anywhere on the planet,'

Although previous spotless calves have been born, none have exhibited the same brown coat of fur as the new baby giraffe, which stands six feet tall.

Bright said in a statement, 'The international coverage of our patternless baby giraffe has created a much-needed spotlight on giraffe conservation.'

Now, the baby remains unnamed, and Brights Zoo is seeking the public's help in naming this rare spotless giraffe.

Four different names have been suggested, and the zoo has created a poll featuring these distinct names. The name with the highest number of votes will be chosen for the baby.
