The movie, titled "The Fall Guy," directed by David Leitch, is an action-comedy centered around the character Colt Seavers, played by Gosling, a stuntman recovering from a career-threatening accident. 

The story takes a surprising twist when Colt is asked to assist in locating a famous actor who has gone missing. Despite the producer's efforts to hide the situation, Colt becomes involved in the search.

In one scene, Hannah Waddingham's character, Gail Meyer, walks into a messy trailer and remarks to another character, played by Emily Blunt, "It's like Amber and Johnny were just in here." 

This reference to the highly publicized and contentious relationship between Depp and Heard has sparked outrage among viewers.

The controversy surrounding the 'joke' quickly spread across social media platforms, with many expressing their disappointment and anger.

People criticized the insensitivity of including such a reference, given the serious nature of the allegations of domestic violence between Depp and Heard. 

They argued that domestic violence should never be trivialized or used as a source of humor.

Numerous individuals took to social media to express their concerns. 

Many individuals highlighted that treating domestic violence lightly contributes to a harmful story and demonstrates a lack of understanding and compassion for survivors and victims.

Others expressed their strong disapproval of including such a joke, stressing that domestic violence is a grave matter that should never be belittled or used for entertainment.

As of now, Universal Pictures, the distributor of "The Fall Guy," has not provided a comment on the controversy.

Depp filed a defamation lawsuit against Heard following her allegations in a 2018 article.
