The video makes viewers grimace as it shows a snake writhing in pain after being pricked by porcupine quills while attempting to prey on it.

Snake species, including pythons and boas, refrain from attacking and consuming porcupines because if they manage to kill the porcupine with their venom, ingesting the prey can be fatal due to the hundreds of sharp quills that can puncture their organs.

Perhaps the hungry Boa constrictor took desperate measures by attacking the porcupine. As a result, it was counterattacked by the prey, and the quills pierced its flesh, causing immense pain.

A video captures the scene of the snake writhing in agony as numerous white quills protrude from its skin in Brazil.

The reptile, seemingly attempting to prey on the porcupine, finds the situation worsen when the animal defends itself using its quills.

The man recording the video captures the snake writhing in pain for nearly 2 minutes. Things escalate further when a domestic dog suddenly appears and barks loudly. The injured snake coils defensively in response to the dog but doesn't forget its agony.

Many sympathize with the poor snake and call for help to be provided.

Another viewer adds, "A bad day for the snake. Put it out of its misery. It's painful to watch."

However, one-third of the viewers seemingly find a humorous aspect and comment, "That's a new fashion statement!"

Boa constrictors typically feed on bats, mice, birds, and lizards, and it takes them about 4 to 6 days to digest their food.
