Taylor Swift decided to sell an airplane in her collection after criticism for polluting the environment

Recently, Taylor Swift sold one of her private jets amid backlash over flight tracking and the environmental impact of her trips.

According to reports from last year, Swift faced criticism regarding the huge CO2 emissions that came from her flights to visit her new boyfriend, Travis Kelce, a star player for the City Chiefs. Kansas Street.

In response to these concerns, Taylor Swift quickly sold her own private plane.

The report details the amount of CO2 from Swift's flights and the huge fuel cost

According to the Instagram account "Taylor's Swifts Jets", as of December 18, 2023, Swift flights have emitted 138 tons of CO2. Of these, she took 12 flights to visit her boyfriend, which equates to using 12,622 gallons of fuel, estimated at $70,779.

Additionally, the report also revealed that in preparation for her tour starting in March 2023, Swift purchased twice as much carbon as needed to offset the environmental impact of her trip.

The emissions resulting from her visits to support Kelce were incorporated into her planned tour travels, ensuring that her carbon footprint was appropriately handled.

The real reason Swift sold her private jet is still unknown

It remains unclear whether her decision to sell one of her private jets was influenced by online criticism or the actions of a 21-year-old student and aviation enthusiast named Jack Sweeney, who followed her flights.

In December, Swift's legal team sent Sweeney a cease-and-desist letter. However, Swift has now downsized to a private jet.

Previously, Swift's Dassault Falcon 900 was listed on the Federal Aviation Administration's website under the address of Taylor Swift Productions in Nashville, Tennessee.

However, recent documents from the Secretary of State indicate that the plane is now registered to a company based in Missouri.

This suggests Swift has parted ways with the jets and the registration change took place on January 30.

Currently, the pop star only owns one private jet, the Dassault 7X.
