1. Jeddah Tower Building in Saudi Arabia
The slender 1,000-meter (3,280-foot) tower was designed by the same firm AS+GG (Adrian Smith and Gordon Gill Architecture), which designed the world's tallest wonder. Construction costs are expected to be no less than $1.2 billion, in line with its role at the center of the $20 billion Kingdom City in Saudi Arabia.
While adapting to the Saudi Arabian scene, this majestic skyscraper also represents the evolution and complexity of famous architecture. Due to the height that requires the most complex elevator system, Jeddah Tower has 59 elevators, including 54 single-story elevators and 5 double-decker lifts, and 12 escalators.
The mixed-use Jeddah Tower will feature a luxury hotel, serviced apartments and offices, luxury condominiums, and the world's tallest observatory. Jeddah Tower's aerodynamic triangle and sloping exterior help reduce wind loads. Jeddah Tower's façade system includes a low thermally conductive glass to reduce electricity use for air conditioning when temperatures in the area reach around 50 degrees Celsius in summer.
2. APM- Musée Atelier Audemars Piguet in Le Brassus
The fascinating spiral-shaped museum Atelier Audemars Piguet is located in the historic college and factory complex of Le Brassus in the heart of the Jura Valley (La Vallée de Joux), which opened in 2020. The heritage unique buildings cities with 2373 sqm, is the brainchild of BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group.
The transverse tension composite structure is derived from the centuries-old portable watchmaking technique of La Vallée de Joux and is a specialty of Audemars Piguet (Swiss luxury watch brand).
3. Bee’ah Headquarters- Sharjah in UAE
Bee'ah headquarters started construction in 2014, covering an area of more than 90,000 square meters and a building area of 7,000 square meters. Bee'ah is headquartered in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, and the weird buildings in the world belong to Zaha Hadid Architects. Bee'ah is the Middle East's leading integrated environmental and waste management company.
4. Entrepreneur Forum Conference Centre in China
The curved conference center designed by MAD Architects for the Yabuli Mountains in Northeast China started construction in 2018 and will be completed in 2020.
The surrounding mountains shape the 16,198-square-meter site, which rises to a height of 24 meters in a shallow dome-like structure.
The building includes a large 1,000-seat auditorium, a 350-seat secondary venue, and a series of meeting rooms and studios, and will soon become the permanent venue for China Entrepreneur Forum (CEF) events.
5. Audrey Irmas Pavilion in Los Angeles
The Audrey Irmas Pavilion, designed by OMA New York, is a new addition to the Temple on Wisher Avenue, Los Angeles, USA. The project is managed by Executive Architect Gruen Associates, Landscape Architect Studio-MLA, and Arup Engineers.
The dynamic west façade slopes away from the existing temple, expressing respect but also mystery and familiarity. and a west-facing terrace towards the temple, connecting visitors to the site.
