The slender 1,000-meter (3,280-foot) tower was designed by the same firm AS+GG (Adrian Smith and Gordon Gill Architecture), which designed the world's tallest wonder. Construction costs are expected to be no less than $1.2 billion, in line with its role at the center of the $20 billion Kingdom City in Saudi Arabia.

Jeddah Tower's aerodynamic triangle and sloping exterior help reduce wind loads. Jeddah Tower's façade system includes a low thermally conductive glass to reduce electricity use for air conditioning when temperatures in the area reach around 50 degrees Celsius in summer.

The curved conference center designed by MAD Architects for the Yabuli Mountains in Northeast China started construction in 2018 and will be completed in 2020.

The surrounding mountains shape the 16,198-square-meter site, which rises to a height of 24 meters in a shallow dome-like structure.

The building includes a large 1,000-seat auditorium, a 350-seat secondary venue, and a series of meeting rooms and studios, and will soon become the permanent venue for China Entrepreneur Forum (CEF) events.
