After being rescued, the kittens snuggled up to Adkins and held onto him, feeling safe and loved.

Two Texas state police officers were dealing with a theft at a local TJ Maxx store when they were suddenly called in to help with something else -- two kittens were trapped under a car in the store's parking lot.

Concerned about the safety of the kitten, the police quickly walked to the vehicle in question and immediately heard the kitten meowing from somewhere under the vehicle.

After locating the kittens, Officer Joe Bob Adkins carefully reached under the car and rescued them.

Once they were safe, Officer Adkins took the kitten back to the police car. He held both cats in his arms and made them feel safe and loved.

They absolutely love to cuddle up to their new friend, curling up against his chest and never wanting to leave him.

Officials immediately took the kittens to a veterinarian for examination, who determined they were about 6 weeks old and was relieved to learn they were doing well.

They figured the kittens must be hungry, not knowing how long they had been under the car, so the officers fed them some formula in small bottles and loved them more by the day.

Adkins recently won a prestigious award: Southern District Officer of the Year.

At that time, he brought back the beautiful scenery. Now, he's bringing back something even more precious: two kittens. Adkins adopted two cats, and he couldn't give them up.

Adkins brings 2 cats home after vet checks, vet ensures the kittens are healthy. While thinking about naming the new addition to his family, Adkins hit upon a brilliant idea: TJ and Max.

Because the only reason Adkins walked past the car that day was that he was investigating a robbery at a local store in - you guessed it - Tj Maxx!"
