In her video, Katie talked about a recent two-day visit from her two-year-old granddaughter, Sage.
‘I had my granddaughter overnight on Friday night and all day Saturday and by Saturday night, I was like, “When are your parents coming to pick you up?”
By the end of the visit, Katie felt exhausted.
She admitted that she was eagerly waiting for Sage’s parents to come and pick her up because she needed a break.
‘And 98 percent of the time, she’s the best. But she’s two, so she loves to throw fits … I was tired by Saturday night.’
This confession surprised many viewers, as it is common for grandparents to cherish time with their grandchildren.
The grandma loves her grandkid but finds toddlers tiring.
Katie explained that she loves her granddaughter but finds taking care of a toddler to be very tiring.
She mentioned that after Sage left, she missed her and wanted to see her again, but she also realized she needed some time for herself in between visits.
“I love getting to sit out here in my patio and not have to be responsible for a tiny human,” she continued.
“Been there, done that. It was great, but now I like my incremental times with my granddaughter.
“If you want your grandkids every day that is totally fine. No judgement. You don’t judge me and I won’t judge you.”
“I love my quiet time,” she said, emphasizing the importance of balance in her life.

I know what she means , it’s tiring as you get older ,doesn’t mean that you don’t love them to bits and would do anything for them .
I had my Grandchildren 2 days a week .
We do it for love ….we also…, one user wrote.
it’s just different times, young people are having children later and later in life – grandparents grow older, too – you can’t have it all, the second user said.
Yeah I have kids, they’re 14 & 17 now. I completely understand this woman’s point of view.
And I am happy to help my friends who decided to wait until their late 30s/early 40s to have kids,
but it’s not my job & I’ll say no if I’m not up to it, the third user commented.
I have no problem spending time with my grandchildren but I will not be their daycare provider, another wrote.
Believe me, even if your grandchild doesn’t notice, your children do, and will quietly see to it that their children are not around someone who doesn’t want them.
In a few years, you will wonder why nobody comes to visit and break up the solitude, someone said.
She sounds like a horrible Grandmother and staying away from the Grandkids will have positive benefits, another user wrote.
