Cheryl, who has 7 children and 17 grandchildren, married Quran in 2021 after a period of dating.

Recently, the couple has expressed excitement as they await the arrival of their first child. Due to Cheryl's age, she is unable to carry the pregnancy, so they have decided to use a surrogate.

In a recent video, Cheryl and Quran shared an ultrasound image of their baby, along with interesting details about fetal development.

The couple stated that they have gotten past the major risk hurdles and are soon to find out the gender, which they described as amazing, and that they can't wait.

"We've gotten past the major risk hurdles, and now we'll soon be finding out the gender. This is so amazing, I can't wait," Quran said in the video.

Quran also said that they will be back with many upcoming updates about their parenthood journey. Cheryl then interrupted, sharing that they had gotten pictures of their first baby who was starting to develop.

The pair, who sat side-by-side on a park bench, could not control their smiles as Quran continued that the best part was their baby was forming and was healthy.

Quran revealed that they would be informed about the baby's gender the following week, which he described as the most interesting thing, and that he was totally ready to become a dad.

Quran may have to raise their kid alone.

Their love story began in 2012 at Dairy Queen where Cheryl McGregor, 63, and Quran McCain, 26, first crossed paths. Despite this initial meeting, it wasn't until 2020 that they reconnected, igniting a blossoming romance that led them to tie the knot in September 2021.

Now, as they prepare to welcome their first child via surrogacy, Cheryl and Quran face the reality of their age gap.

While acknowledging the potential for Quran to raise their child alone in the future, they remain confident in their bond and his ability to be a father.

Initially met with mixed reactions from family, Cheryl's children have since supported the couple's parenthood journey.

After sharing initial updates on their first baby via surrogacy, the couple gained the attention of millions of online users.

In the comment section, they expressed joy and sent many blessings to the couple on their parenthood journey.

Goodness, my mom is 88 and looks way younger than her, not knocking her but not aging well. If you can get love I guess it's all good and hope they are happy, one user said.

OMG, they're so lovely, the second user said.

I hope they will be happy, the third user said.

However, others feel the couple's decision is unfair to the baby, as they might not give the kid a fulfilled family.

The age gap relationship isn't the issue. It's the fact that they are bringing a child into this world who won't know their mother for long. It's so selfish, one user said.

I have no issue with consenting adults living their lives and being happy, but at the same time I hate sayings like “Love has no age” and “Love is love“ because that’s the same things predators say when they prey on children, the second user commented.

Just because you ‘can’ doesn’t mean you should, think of the child, the third user said.

No one “deserves” children. If your body is too old to properly carry a child, then it is too old to take care of a child through adulthood with the energy a child needs! Selfish! Another wrote.
