A woman allegedly beat her best friend to death after an argument over a melted Magnum ice cream.
A shocking case in Munich has stunned Germany, as a 90-year-old woman allegedly murdered her best friend over a melted Magnum ice cream.
The longtime Friends argued when the ice cream melted on the way home
Brigitte W., aged 90, and Petra B., aged 77, were returning home after shopping when the confrontation began over a melted ice cream.
According to prosecutors, Petra placed the ice cream in the freezer, prompting Brigitte to shout, “Don’t do that,” sparking the fatal quarrel.
Brigitte W. reportedly struck Petra B. wth a saucepan during the heated argument
Brigitte allegedly grabbed a saucepan and hit Petra three times on the head, knocking her unconscious and leaving her lying on the kitchen floor.
Prosecutors say the attack happened on July 18, 2024.
During a heatwave, Brigitte acted with ‘uncontrollable rage’ toward Petra as a form of punishment.
After the incident, authorities say the suspect waited three days before contacting emergency services
Despite Petra’s death, Brigitte reportedly waited three days before calling police.
She claimed that they had argued and Petra chose to lie on the floor.
She said that Petra fell to the floor, she was alive and said she wanted to stay there
She allegedly told officers, “She wanted to sleep on the cool kitchen floor because she was so hot.
Brigitte allegedly tried to hide the crime by washing bloody clothes.
During the delay, Brigitte stripped Petra of her blood-stained clothing, washed them, and hung them up to dry, according to court testimony.
Authorities believe Brigitte intentionally tried to hide the evidence.
She aimed to mislead police when they arrived at the scene. Prosecutors say the women had been friends for 40 years.
However, their bond had turned toxic, marked by bullying and frequent fights.
Police were reportedly called multiple times to resolve violent disputes.
While, Petra remained loyal and regularly assisted Brigitte with shopping and daily needs.
Judges deny bail for the 90-year-old suspect despite her advanced age
At the court hearing, Brigitte’s lawyer requested bail.
He argured her age age and wheelchair use made her incapable of fleeing or evading justice.
The lawyer reportedly replied: “My client is 90 and uses a wheelchair. Where is she supposed to flee?”
However, judges denied the request, citing her unpredictability and potential risk. The trial continues as new evidence is being presented in court.
In shory, this chilling incident has shocked the public. What began as a small disagreement over a melted Magnum ice cream escalated into a deadly assault.
