In a tweet to Welch, the person expressed their distress, saying they had used their life savings and children’s college fund to purchase the coin.
They accused Welch of purchasing 97% of the coin’s supply and selling it off for a quick profit.

On social media, after the value of HAWK coin plummeted, some users accused Welch of “rug-pulling,” a term used when creators manipulate cryptocurrency prices for personal gain.
