The incident occurred amid a nationwide strike by Amazon warehouse workers.

On December 21, workers in several cities, including New York, Atlanta, and San Francisco, walked out and picketed in front of Amazon facilities.

The Teamsters union organized the strike, calling it a major holiday season protest.

Union leaders have criticized Amazon for what they describe as “insatiable greed.”

They argue that these labor disputes are directly affecting delivery times for customers.

Amazon claimed union tactics misrepresent employee representation.

An Amazon spokesperson claimed that the union has used intimidation tactics to recruit workers.

They also stated that the company continues to prioritize employee welfare and is working to resolve any issues.

“For more than a year now, the Teamsters have continued to intentionally mislead the public — claiming that they represent ‘thousands of Amazon employees and drivers.’ They don’t,” an Amazon spokesperson said.
