An American woman comes forward with shocking claims that she is Madeleine McCann, insisting she has DNA evidence to support her identity.
Woman from Arkansas makes shocking claim
An American woman has made a startling claim. Eugenea Collins, 22, insists she is Madeleine McCann. She says she has ‘DNA proof’ to support her statement, despite widespread skepticism.
Collins launched a social media campaign. She believes she is the missing British child who vanished in Portugal in 2007.
She first became suspicious after watching Julia Wandelt on Dr. Phil’s talk show. Wandelt also claimed to be Madeleine but was later debunked.
Collins says DNA test supports her claim
Collins took a DNA test. The results show she is 68% English and Northwestern European. She believes this supports her theory. However, she has no confirmed genetic link to the McCann family.
She also questions her own identity. She struggled to obtain a birth certificate and government-issued ID. When applying, she says she found inconsistencies in her documents.
Missing birth certificate raises doubts
Collins claims she never saw her original birth certificate. She found a document where her name was written over another. This raised her suspicions.
“I have never seen an original birth certificate,” she said. “The only one I saw had another name written on it. My name was written above it.”
Social media users challenge Collin’s story
Many internet users doubt Collins’ claim. They point out major differences between her and Madeleine. One key detail is Madeleine’s rare eye defect, which Collins lacks.
One person said: She doesn’t have the pupil defect & I’m pretty sure a person doesn’t grow out of that. This is so cruel to Madeleine’s parents.
A second wrote: It can’t be Madeline the parents know exactly what happened to her
While a third commented: No resemblance .. her eyes are a different shape and also a different colour plus no mark present
Someone else said: You never know get a DNA and let’s see if it’s her amazing if not its cruel on the family I still pray maddy is alive and well
Someone said: I will never understand how people can be so cruel to a family that has lost so much.
Another user added: Her eyes are far apart and the nose is the same. Very pretty girl. Could be. Find out with DNA
However, Collins addressed concerns about her ears. Some noticed they looked different from Madeleine’s. She responded by saying she has scars that could have altered their shape.
Collins links her ‘father’ to suspect
In a bizarre twist, Collins suggests her supposed father is a prime suspect.
She claims her alleged father, Eugene Collins, resembles Christian Brueckner. Brueckner is a convicted pedophile and was linked to Madeleine’s disappearance.
“I saw pictures of the suspect, and he looks like my father,”
she said. “I never had a relationship with him. I was always told he was a little off in the head.”
Brueckner is currently in prison. He was convicted of rape and child sexual abuse. He is expected to be released in September.
Authorities have not taken action
Collins says she has contacted law enforcement. However, local police in Arkansas have not taken her claim seriously. She also attempted to reach Operation Grange, the official investigation into Madeleine’s case.
Meanwhile, Julia Wandelt, the woman who inspired Collins’ suspicions, has been arrested. She allegedly stalked the McCann family, causing them distress.
Despite the controversy, Collins remains firm. “I know my mom is looking for me,” she said. “I have always felt a sense of loneliness. Now I finally know why.”
Authorities have not confirmed Collins’ allegations. There is no official evidence linking her to the McCann family. The case remains unresolved, and Madeleine’s parents have not responded to Collins’ claims.
