Musk has been at the center of controversy, especially after Tesla’s market value dropped by $800 billion.

Following Donald Trump’s 2024 election win, Tesla stock initially surged. However, Musk’s role as head of the Department of Government Efficiency sparked major protests.

Boycotts erupted across the country.

Protesters targeted Tesla dealerships, with some incidents escalating to gunfire.

The White House lawn even became a Tesla showroom, with Musk calling vandals ‘domestic terrorists’ and vowing legal action.

On social media, a footage surfaced showed a man vandalizing a Tesla Cybertruck in New York.

Jewish man Avi Ben Hamo discovered a swastika drawn on his vehicle. Stunned, he confronted the suspect and blocked his car from leaving.

Hamo immediately called 911. The suspect, later identified as 42-year-old Michael Lewis, abandoned his Subaru in a bike lane. He returned 90 minutes later, only to find police waiting for him.

Authorities charged Lewis with aggravated harassment, but the Brooklyn district attorney later dropped the charges.

Many defended Musk’s view, while others criticized him for generalizing Subaru owners. They argued that car preference does not determine political beliefs or behavior.

Ons person said: I’m not a Musk fan but vandalism is not ok

A second wrote: He might want to focus on running his companies Tesla is tanking right now.

While a third commented: Hey, all the farmers in my area voted for Trump and drive a Subaru because of the snow. Don’t put a hit out on innocent people.

Another added: I drive a Tesla Model S and a Subaru Forester. I’m at war with myself!

Someone else said: Wasting money! I pray that, by God’s grace, I make it so I can afford one someday.

Hamo speaks out against Tesla hate

Hamo remains disturbed by the incident.

He said, “People hating [Tesla owner] Elon Musk is one thing, but to do something like this is next level. I’m speechless. That’s just wrong.”
