A woman ended her marriage with her adopted son after discovering his online dating profile, sparking widespread controversy and discussion.
A woman has ended her marital relationship with her adopted son after discovering his online dating profile.
This incident is causing a stir online and becoming a hot topic of discussion about family relationships and personal standards.
The unconventional marriage
Aisylu Chizhevskaya Mingalim, a singing teacher, has filed for divorce from her adopted son.
She had raised her son Daniel Chizhevsky as her own after adopting him when he was just 14.
However, she shocked her family and friends when she and Daniel decided to get married last year.
The pair faced significant opposition in Russia when they tied the knot in their Tatarstan Republic homeland.
At the time, Daniel was only 22 years old.
They later fled to the Russian capital Moscow after facing backlash from the more traditional locals in their hometown of Kazan.
At first, things appeared to be going well as the couple transitioned their relationship from mother and adopted son to husband and wife.
Aisylu even described the relationship as “perfect.”
“Our relationship is perfect. We can’t live without each other. We are on the same wavelength,” she told local media last year.
Due to their unconventional marriage, Aisylu’s other adopted children were taken away from her.
There is a significant age gap between the two.
In October 2023, it was reported that she was fighting to regain custody of her children.

While she fought to legitimize her marriage to Daniel, Aisylu has now filed for divorce.
This decision was not due to the backlash they faced but because Daniel was reportedly found on dating apps and arranging hook-ups with other people.
Aisyla confessed that she has filed for divorce and told local media: “I was embarrassed to admit it.”
On social media, the reactions were mixed.
The story quickly spread online, with many people expressing their shock and confusion about the situation.
Some people expressed sympathy for the woman, understanding how painful it must have been for her to discover her husband’s actions.
Others, however, focused on the unusual nature of their relationship from the start, questioning how such a situation could have come to be.
Another case of an unconventional relationship
Marina Balmasheva made headlines when she left her husband to marry her stepson, Vladimir ‘Vova’ Shavirin, whom she had known since he was seven.
In 2020, they tied the knot when Marina was 35 and Vladimir was 20.
Marina shared a video of their registry office visit, expressing the casual nature of the event.
They later dressed in traditional wedding attire and had a reception at a local restaurant.
At that time, Marina announced that they were expecting their first child together, with their second child being born in March of the following year.
