Passengers on a Qantas flight from Australia to Japan were left stunned after an adult-themed movie was shown on every in-flight screen.

A technical glitch caused the film *Daddio*, which features explicit content, to play across the entire cabin. This left no way for passengers to turn off or pause the movie.

The film explores themes of relationships and sex, making it unsuitable for a general audience.

According to one passenger, the screens couldn’t be dimmed or turned off. This left everyone on the flight watching intimate scenes they hadn’t signed up for.

Passengers voice concerns about the incident

A Reddit user posted images showing the explicit sexting scenes displayed on the in-flight screens. This sparked outrage among passengers.

Approximately an hour into the flight, the cabin crew realized there was an issue with the film.

They quickly replaced it with a more family-friendly option.

However, by then, the inappropriate content had already been viewed by many passengers, including children.

One person said: You might have been better off trying to rawdog the flight.

A second wrote: i hope someone had inform the crew in that plane to turn of whats being aired.

While a third commented: I would have just laughed it off the Airline apologize what more could be done.

Another added: Pilot needed to think clearly after the fact.

Someone else said: It’s hard to turn things off when you’ve been turned on.

Qantas later addressed the situation, apologizing for the incident.

A spokesperson explained that the technical glitch prevented passengers from selecting their own movies.

The staff initially asked passengers for film suggestions, and several chose Daddio.

Once it became clear that the film was inappropriate, the airline crew attempted to assist passengers with their screens.

When that failed, they switched to a children’s movie.

The spokesperson further commented, “The movie was clearly not suitable to play for the whole flight, and we sincerely apologize to customers for this experience.”

Qantas has since committed to reviewing how the movie selection was handled to prevent a similar issue from happening again.

Their standard policy is to switch to family-friendly films in cases where technical difficulties affect individual screen selections.

This unusual event highlights the challenges airlines face when dealing with technical problems related to in-flight entertainment.

Passengers were eventually given a more appropriate viewing option. However, the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of careful content selection.

This is especially crucial when individual control isn’t possible.

Qantas’ prompt response and apology may help to smooth over the controversy. However, it’s a lesson for all airlines to review their entertainment policies.
