A bride surprises her wedding guests by hosting a 7K run just hours before the ceremony to boost endorphins.
In a unique twist to wedding traditions, a bride named Cloé Étienne Verlaguet surprised her guests with a 7K run on the morning of her wedding.
This unexpected event took place just hours before her ceremony, making it a memorable start to the day.

Cloé and her fiancé, Romain, are both training for the New York City Marathon scheduled for November 3.
They decided to incorporate a run into their wedding weekend as a fun way to stay active and include their friends and family.
“We wanted to start the day with endorphins and get everyone moving,” Cloé explained.
The couple planned the run for 8:30 AM on September 28 at the beautiful Le Domaine de la Fauconnie, an 18th-century manor house located near Bergerac, France.
They created custom T-shirts for their guests, inviting anyone who wanted to join them for the morning exercise.
The shirts featured the couple’s names, their wedding date, and a cheerful illustration of them running.
Half of wedding guests took part in this unique wedding activity
On the event day, Cloé exchanged her white wedding heels for running shoes to lead her guests on an adventure.
Between 35 and 45 of their 135 wedding guests participated in the run.
“For us, it was also a way to start the day with endorphins and have people mixing up from all our different friend groups.”
The group jogged around the picturesque grounds of the manor, all wearing matching red shirts that read “Down the aisle!”
After the run, which wrapped up around 10 AM, participants enjoyed a well-deserved breakfast.
This allowed everyone to relax and chat before getting ready for the 4 PM wedding ceremony.
Many guests stayed overnight at the venue, making it easy for them to join in on the surprise activity.
Bride shared a TikTok video of the run, which quickly went viral.
While some viewers loved the idea of a morning run, many others expressed their dismay in the comments.
This is my worst nightmare, one user said.
I’ll see you guys at the reception, the second user commented.
Why is this on my FYP? This is not for me, the third user said.
We started drinking at 9 am for my 5 pm ceremony lol, another wrote.
Love that for you and your guests but I respectfully wouldn’t have come, someone said.
Cloé emphasized the run was an option for wedding guests
Despite the mixed reactions, Cloé explained that participation in the run was optional.
She understands that not everyone enjoys running, and she wanted to ensure that all her guests felt comfortable.
It wasn’t until she joined her triathlete fiancé on his recovery runs that she developed a love for the sport.
“I really enjoyed it,” she said. “It’s a good way for us to visit our neighborhood and catch up on our week.”
The couple’s decision to have a run as part of their wedding festivities highlights a growing trend among couples looking to personalize their special day.
More couples are incorporating their hobbies and interests into their wedding celebrations, making each event unique and memorable.
While traditional wedding activities often include dancing, cake cutting, and toasts, Cloé and Romain’s choice to add physical activity to their day is refreshing.
