Crowdstrike’s CEO responds to the outage

“The outage was not a security incident or cyberattack,” Crowdstrike’s CEO, George Kurtz claimed.
“Crowdstrike is actively working with customers impacted by a defect found in a single content update for Windows hosts,” he added.
“Mac and Linux hosts are not impacted […] The issue has been identified, isolated and a fix has been deployed,” Kurtz concluded.
Microsoft quickly moved to address the issue.
The company issued apologies to affected users and worked diligently to restore services.
The tech giant also provided updates on the progress of their efforts to resolve the problem.
