Mysterious Moment: UFO Flies Over Florida Beach
A beachgoer captured a mysterious moment when a “UFO” appeared to zoom across a Florida beach at 2,000 mph.
Financial analyst Carmen Rich was filming a storm at Fort Lauderdale Beach on June 17 when he suddenly saw a “ball of light” flying across the sky. However, he insists it was not lightning.
The video was slowed down to show the flying object appear and vanish instantly. In the clip, Carmen can be heard exclaiming: “Wow, did you see that just shoot across?” Because it happened so quickly, his stepsister, Jennifer Rich (20), “blinked and missed it.”

Witness Account of the Event
Carmen, originally from Boston, Massachusetts, shared:“It was the fastest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. If it was moving that fast, I figured it would make some kind of noise, but it was completely silent.
“The thing in the back was a plane, and you can use it as a reference to see how fast this thing was. Jennifer turned around, blinked, and missed it.
“I saw it pass by my phone with my own eyes. I shouted immediately and stopped recording to check if I actually caught it. I wondered if I was going crazy.”
He added that the object appeared much larger in person than what the camera captured. Even though he was on vacation, Carmen admitted that the experience left him feeling uneasy.
Could It Be a UFO?
Carmen believes it was a UFO but cannot confirm whether it was an alien spacecraft. He thinks humans may not be alone in the universe but also suspects that the government has not revealed all the technology they possess.
“I don’t know what it was, but it’s something the public won’t know about for a very long time—if ever.”
Some locals who saw the video said they had never seen anything like it before.
Under Carmen’s Facebook post, several users commented:
- “Wow, that was incredible!”
- “Aliens love thunderstorms. This is how they charge their flying ships. I have also seen, photographed, and filmed this several times myself.”
- “Wow, I had to take a double look when you mentioned it—that’s crazy! Good catch!”
