The couple, who both work for the Icelandic airline PLAY, came up with the idea after learning that they could have a wedding ceremony in the air.

They felt it was the perfect way to celebrate their love, especially since they have traveled extensively together.

Their journey together began when Kita visited Iceland for work. During her trip, she fell in love with both the country and Alexander, who was a tour guide at the time.

They kept in touch and soon began dating. Their mutual love for travel brought them closer, making the idea of a mid-flight wedding even more fitting.

“During these two years, we have traveled a lot together, both to France and other countries, as well as within Iceland. We love traveling,” the groom said.

“When we heard about the idea that it was possible to get married on board … we thought, why not?

It just fit perfectly with all of our adventures—to get married in the skies between Iceland and France.”

The unusual wedding ceremony

On the day of the wedding, the couple boarded the plane as fiancés for the last time.

Alexander wore a stylish maroon suit jacket paired with black pants, while Kita chose a green silk tank top and black slacks.

As the plane cruised through the skies, Kita walked down the aisle to meet Alexander and a priest waiting at the front.
