A Cybertruck owner is furious after his new Cybertruck stalls seconds after leaving.
The owner shared a video on YouTube, revealing their nightmare start to his ownership of a Tesla Cybertruck.
California entrepreneur Thomas Remo shared his disappointment with his Cybertruck.
Remo, who runs a YouTube channel called GearDown, shared his experience of picking up his Cybertruck on this channel.
In the footage, he picked up the $82,000 EV in Irvine, California. However, his excitement quickly turned to frustration as the central display flashed red and emitted warning beeps moments after Remo accelerated.
His Cybertruck came to a halt mere seconds after acceleration.
In the footage, he reveals the issue stemmed from a critical steering malfunction.
The vehicle's "steer-by-wire" system, designed to replace traditional mechanical connections, malfunctioned, forcing the Cybertruck into a limited speed mode of just 4 mph. Remo was forced to pull over and return to the dealership.
Remo jokingly said 'I literally broke it right out the gate. Elon, what are you doing bro? How is it already broken?'
Below the post, many owners shared their experiences with their Cybertrucks.
One person said: Me too. The more electronics and computer driven functions there are in vehicles, the greater chance there will be errors.
A second wrote: Meanwhile they keep adding more and more unnecessary complexity which keeps new cars unaffordable by the masses.
While a third commented: It doesn't matter still Elon musk is smart and genius and hardworking person.
Another added: Probably got towed to the scrap heap by a V8 Chevy!
Someone else said: An EV truck is like a big bicycle which doesn't carry a serious load.
However, this is not the first isolated Incident
Remo isn't the only Cybertruck owner facing early technical woes.
Arizona-based Matthew Chirello reported a similar steering and brake malfunction while on a road trip with his family. Chirello's Cybertruck required towing.
Social media also expresses concerns about the Cybertruck
Online communities like the Cybertruck Owners Club forum reveal additional cases of newly delivered Cybertrucks experiencing similar steering issues within the first mile of driving.
These reports raise concerns about quality control at Tesla's production facilities.
While Remo's Cybertruck was eventually returned to the dealership for repairs, these incidents cast a shadow over the reliability of the highly anticipated electric vehicle.
