A video captures the moment an Uber Eats driver urinates in a customer’s elevator, sparking outrage and concerns over hygiene standards.
In a shocking incident, an Uber Eats driver was filmed urinating in a customer’s elevator in Sydney.
The video has sparked outrage and raised concerns about hygiene and professionalism within the food delivery industry.

Disturbing footage shows an Uber East driver peeing in customer’s elevator
The event occurred on March 10 in an apartment building located in Artarmon, a suburb on Sydney’s North Shore.
CCTV footage recorded the driver entering the elevator while holding a takeout bag from Betty’s Burgers.
The video shows him moving towards the corner of the lift, where he allegedly began to urinate.
After the driver exited the elevator, a noticeable wet patch appeared on the carpet. This disturbing behavior was captured in clear detail, leading to widespread condemnation from the public.
Uber Eats takes immediate action
Following the release of the video, the driver’s account with Uber Eats was deactivated.
On a morning broadcast, radio host Ben Fordham confirmed that the driver could no longer work for the delivery service.

An Uber Eats spokesperson stated that the company is investigating the incident. They expressed strong disapproval of such conduct, which they said has no place on their platform.
The spokesperson emphasized that all users, including delivery drivers, must follow community guidelines. Violating these rules can result in losing access to the Uber app.
“Our community guidelines clearly set out the rules that we expect all users, including delivery people to follow, and breach of these guidelines can result in loss of access to the Uber app,” they said.
The New South Wales Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
They are encouraging anyone with information to reach out to Crime Stoppers. This step shows the seriousness of the situation and the need for accountability.
Fordham described the video in detail, stating there was “no mistaking” what the driver had done.

He noted how the driver seemed fixated on a corner of the lift and how he adjusted his pants before exiting, leaving behind the wet patch.
“All of the elevator floor is dry then he starts fiddling with the front of his pants and then he’s pressing the buttons in the lift. And he seems to be obsessed with this corner of the lift. We know why, because he’s taking a pee,” he said.
“He’s standing there for I don’t know, 10 to 15 seconds as the elevator is going up … then he does something to adjust the front of his pants and he steps outside, leaving behind the wet patch.”
Residents react to the disturbing incident
Residents of the apartment building have expressed their disgust at the driver’s actions.
Geoffrey Grasso, the building secretary, voiced his concerns about the incident. He mentioned that other residents are equally appalled by what happened.
Grasso remarked that the elevator had been cleaned but still retained an unpleasant odor. He estimated that repairs could cost the building at least $2,000, as the carpet may need to be replaced.
He stated, “It’s just a disgusting thing to do, it breaches any form of normal etiquette and health standards.”
Grasso raised further concerns regarding the incident. He pointed out that “all the evidence” suggests the driver worked for Uber Eats.
This revelation raises questions about the food handling training provided to drivers.

“It raises a whole bunch of questions about their food handling training of their drivers at the very, very least,” he said.
“But the one thing that literally disgusts me is the fact that he is holding those people’s food while he is urinating and then delivers it to them.”
“We may well need to change the carpet … it’s going to mount up. The building manager estimates no less than $2,000 just for that,” he said.
“It’s just a disgusting thing to do, it breaches any form of normal etiquette and health standards. I’m sure if he was that desperate and said to the resident in question, ‘may I use your toilet’, I’m sure they would have said yes.”
