Fast food ‘s fans are stunned by the calorie content in their beloved Domino’s garlic and herb dip, which has recently been withdrawn from the market.

Domino’s garlic and herb dip has always been a favorite accompaniment to their pizzas.

However, recent revelations about its calorie content have left many consumers shocked.

The Nutrition Information Guide reveals that a 25g pot of this dip contains 169 calories. In contrast, a 100g pot packs a hefty 675 calories.

To put this into perspective, the latter amount is equivalent to more than three slices of Domino’s cheese and tomato pizza.

The high calorie count has not deterred all fans.

Some customers have admitted to consuming the dip directly from the pot. While other expressed their surprise and dismay on social media.

One person said: Everyone is shocked by everything in 2024. I’m even shocked about how shocked everyone is.

A second wrote: To me it seems like some people are trying to take the good things outof life from us bit bit

While a third commented: Life’s slowly getting worse one little thing at a time.

Domino’s garlic and herb dip withdrawn due to allergy risks

The recall of Domino’s Garlic & Herb and Honey & Mustard dips was initiated due to health concerns over potential peanut contamination.

Some customers reported experiencing an itchy mouth after consuming the dips.

“Domino’s confirmed that traces of peanut were found in certain batches.

This poses a risk to those with peanut allergies.”

The company is addressing these concerns by removing the affected products from stores.

Domino responded to the incident

In response to the recall, a Domino’s spokesperson clarified, “Our Garlic & Herb Big Dip is intended for sharing and serves four people.

Additionally, the single-size pots contain 169 calories each. For context, one serving of the dip with three slices of our Vegi Sizzler pizza totals just under 700 calories.

They also emphasized their commitment to transparency.

They stated: “We provide nutritional information on our website, app, and menus to help customers make informed choices about their food.”

While, The garlic and herb dip’s high calorie content has been a point of concern for many.

However, the immediate issue at hand is the potential health risk due to allergen contamination.

Domino’s is working to address both concerns.

Additionally, they also ensured that customers are well-informed and that their products meet safety standards.
