Elon Musk expressed shock at recent Tesla vandalism, linking it to government waste and suggesting a troubling mental health issue.
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, recently expressed surprise at the recent vandalism targeting his company’s vehicles.
This situation has raised significant concerns about public safety and the motives behind such actions.
The vandalism incidents have occurred in various locations across the United States.
Elon Musk baffled over growing nationwide Tesla vandalism amid DOGE’s discovery of ‘government waste’
Musk believes that the vandalism is related to his efforts to reduce waste and fraud in government spending. He actively participates in initiatives aimed at cutting down unnecessary expenses.

Musk describes the strong reactions to these measures as “hatred and violence,” noting that some individuals seem upset with the changes he is implementing.
“It’s really comes as quite a shock to me that there was this level of, really, hatred and violence from the left.
I always thought the left, the Democrats, were supposed to be the party of empathy, the party of caring and yet they’re burning down cars, they’re firebombing dealerships, they’re firing bullets into dealerships, they’re just, you know, smashing up Teslas,” Musk said.
During an interview, Musk stated that he never expected such a level of hostility. He noted that this behavior surprises him coming from a group often associated with empathy and caring.
He finds it troubling that the same people who advocate for kindness are engaging in acts of violence against his company.
“I’ve only done productive things,” Musk said. “So, I think we just have a deranged – there’s some kind of mental illness thing going on here because this doesn’t make any sense.”

Details reveal the nature of the recent attacks.
The recent attacks have included arson and vandalism. In one incident, a fire at a Collision Center in Las Vegas damaged several Tesla cars.
Local authorities reported that someone threw Molotov cocktails and spray-painted the word “RESIST” on the facility.
Gunmen also fired shots at other Tesla vehicles, escalating the situation further.
Pam Bondi, the Attorney General, has called these actions “domestic terrorism.”
She emphasized the seriousness of the situation and the potential dangers posed by such violent acts.

Musk has described the individuals involved in the vandalism as “mentally deranged.” He believes that their extreme actions are a reflection of deeper issues.
“I think there are larger forces at work here as well,” Musk said. “I mean, I don’t know, who’s funding this and who’s coordinating this?”
“This is crazy,” he added. “I’ve never seen anything like this.”
The vandalism impacts Tesla and complicates government initiatives.
Musk argues that the backlash is a direct response to his efforts to eliminate fraudulent activities in government.
He explained that when people lose money they were receiving through dishonest means, it can lead to anger and desperation.
He believes that some individuals may resort to violence when faced with the loss of their ill-gotten gains.

“It turns out when you take away people’s – you know, the money they’re receiving fraudulently, they get very upset,” he said.
“They basically want to kill me because I’m stopping their fraud. And they want to hurt Tesla because we’re stopping this terrible waste and corruption in the government,” Musk continued, noting that “bad people will do bad things.”
“This extreme amount of hatred and violence is because we’re actually succeeding in getting rid of corruption and waste. If we were not succeeding in getting rid of corruption and waste, they wouldn’t care,” he argued.

Elon Musk celebrates astronauts’ safe return and future prospects
In addition to discussing the vandalism, Musk also shared positive news about SpaceX.
He celebrated the safe return of astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, who spent nine months in space.
Musk expressed pride in their achievements and emphasized that new heights are testing human capabilities.
“We’re really testing the very edge of human ability here, the very edge of material science, and it’s kind of amazing that humans can do this at all,” the tech tycoon said.
“But, hopefully for people out there this is a moment of optimism about the future, a moment of excitement about the future, and it portends great things for America and humanity in space.”
