Elon Musk and Donald Trump claim to agree on most issues
In a recent interview with For News, Elon Musk revealed that he and President Donald Trump “almost always agree” on key issues.
This showed a strong personal and professional relationship between them.
Speaking with Lara Trump on Fox News, Musk described the president as a “friend”.
Musk also noticed that key align on about 80% of topics, especially government efficiency and legal matters.
“I do consider the President a friend. I think he considers me a friend and, you know, we get along very well,”
Musk said. “I think probably if you ask us both the same set of questions in two different rooms, 80% of the time we’d come up with the same answer.”
Musk and Trump share similar views on government waste
During the interview, Musk stated that both he and Trump frequently express concern about government waste.
He also emphasized their shared belief in the importance of ensuring the rule of law is upheld in their policies.
However, Musk did not specify any significant disagreements, emphasizing their general harmony on key issues.
The tech billionaire’s remarks highlight a strong bond between them on these matters.
Musk’s role in Trump’s government advisory group faces criticism
Musk was appointed by Trump to lead DOGE, an advisory body aimed at reducing government spending and workforce size.
The department, however, has faced backlash over its controversial methods.
Musk faced to lack of of transparency, and concerns about the legality of its operations.
Despite Musk’s claims of friendship, President Trump recently criticized tech giants, including Musk, during a speech at the University of Alabama.
Trump mentioned that many tech leaders, including Musk, who were once critical of him, are now “kissing my ass.” He described their change of heart as “true” and noticeable.
Elon Musk no longer works for the White House in his role
Elon Musk, once a frequent figure at the White House during Trump’s early second term, has now stepped back, according to Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.
Though he’s no longer regularly present, Musk continues to stay involved through remote communications.

Despite this change, Musk’s team at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building continues his cost-cutting vision across federal agencies.
