They mentioned that the treatment process for the water is ongoing and meets quality standards.
Sedapal emphasized that the color change occurs downstream from their intake points, so it does not affect the water supply that reaches residents.
“The collection and treatment of water in our plants is continues as normal, strictly complying with quality standards”.
“The change in the colour of the water occurs downstream of our intake gates , so it does not represent a risk for the supply process.”
Monitoring and response
The National Water Authority also took action by inspecting the river and collecting water samples.
They promised to monitor the water quality closely and take necessary steps if any harmful changes are detected.

It promised: “We will continue to fulfil our supervisory role by measuring the quality of water from natural sources to deliver the results to the competent authorities, and if any alteration is found, the corresponding actions will be taken as soon as possible.”
