MrBeast faces backlash after charging $1,000 per ticket for a strange meet-up event, with fans calling him a “scammer.”
MrBeast, a popular YouTuber known for his extravagant giveaways, is facing criticism from fans after hosting a meet-up event that cost $1,000 per ticket.
Many attendees were disappointed with what they received for their money, leading to accusations of being scammed.
High expectations for the meet-up Event
Fans of MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, have come to expect big things from him.
He often gives away large sums of money and holds exciting challenges.

Recently, he organized a three-day event at the Resorts World Las Vegas hotel.
The event was advertised as an “immersive” and “unforgettable” experience, promising much more than just a simple meet-and-greet.
Fans accuse MrBeast of scamming after $1,000 ticket charge for bizarre meet-up event
Upon arriving, ticket holders were told to wait in their rooms for a “mystery arrival.”
Many assumed this meant they would finally meet MrBeast himself.
However, attendees quickly learned that the “mystery arrival” was merely a bag of merchandise, not the personal visit they had hoped for.
Some guests waited for up to two days, only to receive a box that included items like kids’ shorts and shirts, which they later found were available for much less online.

Value of the goodie bag questioned
One attendee expressed frustration, stating, “We were told we’d get exclusive merch. Obviously, that’s not the case.”
The contents of the goodie bag were not only underwhelming but also available on clearance for a fraction of the ticket price.
“It had kid’s shorts, an extra small shirt, a hat, and a medium shirt,” one guest revealed.
“if you go to mrbeast.store to their merchandise right now, all this stuff is on clearance for $9. We were told we’d get exclusive merch. Obviously that’s not the case.”
For many, spending $1,000 for such a small return felt like a slap in the face.
Many fans had high expectations for the event, hoping for fun activities similar to those featured in MrBeast’s videos.
They anticipated games, challenges, and the chance to win prizes, but were instead met with a lack of organization and excitement.

Reactions from attendees
Social media exploded with reactions from frustrated attendees.
One commenter stated, “If Jimmy is part of this, I hope he feels good for scamming a whole bunch of adults and their children.”
This sentiment was echoed by many who felt let down by the experience. They had invested a significant amount of money for what was supposed to be an enjoyable time with MrBeast.
“Nothing happened for the first two days, […] nobody at RW had a clue what was going on. It feels like the employees were only told about the mystery bag, but nobody at the restaurants knew about the ‘activations’ or any schedule of events (which there weren’t any).
“It was advertised as an ‘immersive experience’ but aside from the gift bag and a channel on the TV showing the MrBeast logo when you turned it on, it was a flop.
They offered us a $50 pool credit on day three (which we didn’t bring swimsuits so we didn’t use) and a $50 credit to their sports bar tonight, which is 21+ and we have a kid with us so that was out too. Ended up just leaving this morning.”
“In their defense, MrBeast is known for his crazy challenges,” explains another comment on the r/vegas subreddit. “I could see someone believing they are in a MrBeast ‘last one to leave your room wins’ challenge. Still dumb, but not ‘I’ll just listen’ dumb.”
Social media reactions
One user said: And they still paid it and went
The second user aded: They bought the tickets… argument over. Unless Mr beast promised them something and didn’t deliver, that’s a completely different headline!
The third user wrote: I don’t even watch him anymore he does to much.
The fourth user said: These young people know who to talk to cameras everyday…(not gonna lie, they’re making bucks)
But ask them to read the time on an analogue clock and their brain short circuits.
Another user added: Why would u spend that to meet this tool lol
Someone said: Who would pay that for a meet and greet, he is no one special

Lack of communication and clarity
Attendees reported that hotel staff were not informed about the event details and were often confused about what was happening.
Some guests noted that employees seemed unaware of any scheduled activities, leading to further disappointment.
Instead of an immersive experience, many described the event as a flop, with little to engage them.
Interestingly, some guests speculated that they might have been part of a challenge similar to those MrBeast often hosts on his channel.
They wondered if they were in a “last one to leave your room wins” scenario. However, this was not the case, and the lack of clarity only added to their frustration.
MrBeast responds to criticism
In light of the backlash, MrBeast responded to a frustrated attendee on social media, acknowledging the issues.
“Hey! This definitely isn’t the experience we hoped they’d deliver,” wrote MrBeast in a reply, revealing that it was an event he was partnered with. ‘
“My team’s already on it – I’d love to personally make it up to you and anyone else by inviting everybody affected to tour my actual studio! Can’t wait to meet you all and my team is reaching out to everyone :D”
While the event did not meet the expectations of many, MrBeast’s offer to invite attendees to his studio could provide them with a more authentic experience.
This gesture may help rebuild trust with fans who felt let down by the event.
