This month, the responsibility of cleaning up messes on planes has become a topic of debate.

According to a passenger on the flight, the departure was delayed because a flight attendant had noticed a significant amount of debris on the aisle floor. And insisted that the plane could not take off until the mess was cleaned up.

At the beginning of this month, a Southwest Airlines flight was held up due to a rice spill on the floor by one of the passengers.

An astonishing amount of rice had covered the aisle, much more than what would be expected during a typical meal service. Jennifer Schaper, a passenger on the flight, took a photo of the mess and posted it on social media.

According to her, a flight attendant then proceeded to walk up and down the aisle, requesting the responsible party to step forward.

No one was coming forward to take responsibility for the mess, so the staff reportedly refused to leave the gate until the issue was resolved.

According to a passenger's account, a flight attendant expressed her disappointment with the situation and suggested that the passengers were not raised well.

This month, the responsibility of cleaning up messes on planes has become a topic of debate. Some argued that it's the passenger's responsibility to clean up their own mess and not rely on the cabin crew, who are safety professionals.

They praised the flight attendant for standing her ground and not allowing the plane to take off until someone took responsibility for the mess. Meanwhile, others criticized the person who caused the mess for not owning up to it and leaving it for others to deal with.
