This wouldn’t be the first time the platform X has faced disruption. In March, the platform experienced an outage that prevented many users from accessing their accounts.

Although it’s unclear if DonRoad Team was behind the incident, the pattern of attacks raises serious cybersecurity concerns.

Following the outage, Musk acknowledged the cyberthreat, posting on X: “We get attacked every day. There was a massive cyber attack to try to bring down the X system with IP addresses originating in the Ukraine area.”

However, cybersecurity experts note that hackers frequently manipulate their IP addresses. making it nearly impossible to trace the attack’s true origin.

Hackers defaced government efficiency department site previously linked to elon musk

This isn’t the first time Elon Musk has found himself in the crosshairs of cybercriminals.

Back in February, the official website of the Department for Government Efficiency (DOGE)—an initiative linked to Musk—was hacked.

Visitors to the site were greeted with mocking messages including, “This is a joke of a .gov site” and “THESE EXPERTS LEFT THEIR DATABASE OPEN.”

The breach raised questions about the security of digital infrastructure tied to Musk, even on governmental platforms.

Hackers have also recently targeted political figures like trump harris and vance

Musk isn’t alone in facing heightened cyber threats. Several U.S. political figures, including Donald Trump, Kamala Harris, and JD Vance, were targeted during the 2024 presidential election.

Authorities believe that Chinese-affiliated hackers were responsible for the breaches.

A joint statement from the FBI and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) confirmed:

“The U.S. Government is investigating the unauthorized access to commercial telecommunications infrastructure by actors affiliated with the People’s Republic of China.”

This series of cyberattacks appears to coincide with increasing political unrest and widespread protests against the current U.S. administration.
