A 7-year-old boy shocked police after driving his little sister 9 miles in his mom’s SUV to get a McDonald’s Happy Meal.
A 7-year-old boy in Ogden, Utah, caused quite a stir when he drove his little sister nine miles to get McDonald’s.
Their mother, Whitney Bush, was shocked to learn about their adventure. She described the situation as both surprising and concerning.
Hungry 7-year-old boy drives little sister nine miles in mom’s SUV to get McDonald’s breakfast
On April 27, at around 8 a.m., police received calls about a reckless driver on the road. Witnesses reported seeing a young child behind the wheel.
Officers decided to hold off on a chase after learning the driver was a child. They were concerned for the safety of the kids.

The white SUV eventually stopped after hitting a parking strip.
When the police arrived, they were surprised to find the 7-year-old boy and his 5-year-old sister unharmed.
The children had managed to travel nine miles from their home in Clearfield.
Mom was shocked and worried about them.
Whitney Bush only discovered her children were missing when the police called her. She was understandably alarmed and worried about their safety.
“I absolutely had my heart in my stomach… I had no idea what was going on,” the single mom told ABC4.
“Tbh I don’t think anybody wakes up in the morning or goes through their day thinking their 7-year-old is going to play ‘Grand Theft Auto’ with their vehicle.”

Bush never imagined her son would take the car for a drive. She noted that no parent expects their young child to act like a character from a video game.
The incident was not just surprising; it was also frightening for her.
The children had cash with them to purchase Happy Meals at McDonald’s.
It seems the desire for breakfast was strong enough to motivate them to make such a risky decision.
Bush mentioned that her son has shown interest in becoming a truck driver. She had previously told him he needed to wait before he could drive.
While the young boy’s intentions were innocent, the actions were quite dangerous.
The idea of a child driving a car is alarming, and Bush recognized the seriousness of the situation.

The boy will learn about responsibility.
Despite the scare, the police did not take action against the children due to their age.
However, Bush made it clear that her son would face consequences at home.
“I’m not proud of him by any means. He’s in a world of trouble, he’s probably grounded for the rest of his life.”
Bush admitted that her son has had some behavioral issues in the past. This incident may have been influenced by those challenges.
She is determined to teach him the difference between right and wrong, especially when it comes to safety.

The mother emphasized that this kind of behavior is not something that should be taken lightly.
Children need to understand the potential dangers of their actions, even if their intentions seem harmless.
