A tragic incident during a tattoo procedure
Brazilian influencer Ricardo Godoi passed away on January 20 while undergoing a tattoo procedure.
The 45-year-old was preparing to receive a full back tattoo under general anesthesia at Dia Revitalite Hospital in Itapema, Santa Catarina.
A routine procedure turns fatal
Ricardo experienced cardiac arrest at the beginning of the sedation process.
This occurred before the tattooing even began.
Medical staff, including a cardiologist, attempted to revive him but were unsuccessful. His death was confirmed around noon the same day.
Safety precautions in place
The tattoo studio had arranged for the procedure to be carried out in a private hospital. They hired an anesthesiologist with experience in intubation and ensured all medical equipment was ready.
Blood tests were conducted before the procedure, and Ricardo signed a consent form acknowledging the risks involved.
Ongoing investigation into his death
Local police have launched an investigation.
They are examining whether errors in administering anesthesia or medical negligence played a role.
Ricardo’s family stated he was fit and healthy, having avoided anabolic steroids for five months before the procedure.

Ricardo was a social media star with 218,000 followers. He was known for importing and selling luxury sports cars, including Ferraris and Lamborghinis.
He leaves behind his wife and children, who are now mourning the loss of their beloved husband and father.

Fans and friends have paid tribute to Ricardo online. Many described him as an “incredible guy” and an “inspiration to the younger generation.”
One friend shared: I can’t believe it. My God. I became friends with him seven months ago, and it felt like 30 years.
