At 47 years old, Cena expressed his feelings about the negative comments he received from WWE fans.
He mentioned how chants and signs made him feel small and embarrassed.

Cena explained that this kind of treatment is a form of bullying, which he finds unacceptable.
“You chant and you make me feel small and you embarrass me,” the “Trainwreck” actor said on “The Pat McAfee Show” during the WWE World fan experience in Las Vegas Monday.
“Y’all don’t know what that’s like,” Cena continued. “That is straight-up bullying. That’s just not cool. I don’t like it.”
He sarcastically thanked his fans for pushing him to get surgery. “Thank you for bullying me into getting surgical hair replacement,” he stated.

John Cena underwent a hair transplant procedure.
Cena talked about the process of getting a hair transplant. He explained that after the procedure, his existing hair might fall out temporarily because new hair needs time to grow in.
“And that’s the thing, when you get [the surgery], your hair falls out because the new ones have to grow,” he explained. “So the old one falls out.”
This detail shows that the journey to thicker hair can be challenging and may not yield immediate results.
Cena reassured fans that his new hair was on its way. “It’s coming in, man. It’s coming. Hopefully, in a couple of months, it looks better,” he said.

Cena addressed how fans’ comments affected him.
During the show, Cena addressed the crowd directly. He thanked them for their awareness of his feelings, albeit with a hint of sarcasm.
“And you guys, by the way, thank you for being so aware of my needs and emotions, because you guys ripped me to shreds for a genetic problem that I can’t control.”
He continued, “This isn’t cool. You guys aren’t cool to me. Why do you think I did it? I’m in the Rumble trying to win and [they say], ‘How’s the bald spot?’ Like, that’s not fair. I can’t control that.
“One of you sons of bitches could have pulled me to the side,” Cena quipped.

While Cena did not disclose which doctor performed the hair transplant, he expressed hope for the future.
He mentioned that once his hair fully grows in, he would be happy to recommend the procedure to fans.
“Once it gets better and I’ve got the long flowing locks, I’ll be like, ‘Yo, go to this guy,’” he joked.
