On social media, many viewers were stunned after Justin Baldoni shared a photo of a seemingly segregated Blake Lively arriving at the ‘It Ends With Us’ premiere.
Actor and director Justin Baldoni has detailed his alleged experience of being “held” in a basement during the “It Ends With Us” premiere.
The claims, part of an ongoing legal battle, involve allegations against Blake Lively and others.
Baldoni’s allegations about the premiere
Justin Baldoni attended the premiere in August 2024 in New York City. However, he claims he and his family were confined to a basement area.
The actor, 40, shared photos on social media showing him and his loved ones in a windowless room.
The space, filled with concession stand supplies and Dasani water pallets, served as their holding area.
Baldoni stated in his $400 million lawsuit that the arrangement was meant to avoid interactions with Blake Lively and her guests.
He described the setting as “a makeshift holding area surrounded by soda bottles, fold-out tables, and chairs.”
Social media reaction
The moment of Baldoni allegedly ‘being held’ in a basement gained attention among viewers, sparking further feud speculation after the premiere.
One person said: I don’t believe her… there is too much video and picture evidence of him telling the truth.. and contrary to what she has said.
A second wrote: I’m not a Blake Lively fan, but he does come across like a creep. He’s trying to make a name for himself another way because the film itself was a bust.
While a third commented: Has anyone seen his stuff online? He’s a completely self-serving narcissist and none of the allegations surprise me
Someon else said: I guess no one saw the part where they were taking pics n Blake invited his gf he was pissed. Don’t believe him.
Another added: this is really sad. i was team blake but i don’t think i can be anymore.
Another user wrote: Poor guy.
Following the event, fans speculated about a feud between Baldoni and Lively. The two did not take any photos together, fueling rumors of tension.
In his lawsuit, Baldoni accused Lively of attempting to exclude him from the premiere entirely. He claimed she only allowed his attendance after “significant pressure” and under “humiliating conditions.”
Separate after-partied and financial burden
Baldoni also alleged that his production company, Wayfarer Studios, was forced to fund two after-parties. One was for Lively and the rest of the cast, while Baldoni organized a separate event for his friends, family, and team.
His attorney, Bryan Freedman, called the situation an example of “egregious mistreatment” and promised to present “overwhelming evidence” in court.
Additionally, Blake Lively, 37, denied Baldoni’s allegations, calling his lawsuit “another chapter in the abuser playbook.”
Through her attorneys, she accused Baldoni of using DARVO tactics: “Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim Offender”.
Lively previously filed her own lawsuit against Baldoni in December 2024.
The claims included accusations of sexual harassment and a social media smear campaign.
The legal battle has drawn significant media attention.
Baldoni also filed a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times for their coverage of Lively’s claims. The newspaper stood by its reporting, calling it “meticulous.”
While, Reality star Bethenny Frankel recently weighed in on the situation.
She claimed to have seen Baldoni in a separate theater during the premiere. Frankel also left the event early, citing “bad vibes.”
